De-tune Mode?

Evening chaps,

I wonder if someone can help me here - I'm probably just doing something wrong!
I'm trying to use de-tune mode in the piano roll editor, but it seems like I can't because according to this 'VST-based instruments can not be detuned.'
So I'm assuming that's my problem, which is a shame, but I wonder if anyone knows any way around this?

Alright, so mid-post I've done a bit of testing and I'm even more confused - I can't seem to get de-tune to work with anything in LMMS. I'm using ZynAddSubFX most of the time, and I just want to have some kind of smooth transition from one note to the other

Hopefully you'll know what I'm talking about - let me know what I can do!

Zyn is one of those plugins that doesn't support detune unfortunately . Many VSTs are also like that. If you're just trying to a pitch bend between notes, Zyn and most synths have an adjustable portamento feature which usually gets the job done. However, if you''re trying to do a fall or a gliss up to a single note, you might have to get creative. Try messing with pitch envelopes if the plugin supports that (Zyn does), or you could get really janky and automate a pitch-shifter effect.

Yop detune is not possible in vst-based instruments, but ..who cares, cause automation IS :p
The detune-feature creates a hidden automation-pattern, for a specific note, but just use a normal visible automation-track, and every instrument can be detuned just as if it was done with the detune-feature.
How?
Automate the default pitch witch is present on all instruments!
