FM8 and LMMS - are they compatible?

Well, as the description says, I would like to know if FM8 works with LMMS. Looking around for what to ask for chrsitmas

Wooah! I don't know if FM8, would work, because I never tried that Vst yet.
Then again, it may be possible.
But I refound this old post, made by a user a few years ago.

Despite the problems, the user was experiencing. That user was able to get FM 8 and Absinth 5
to work, in an older Lmms. Now I'm kinda curious, to check out those two vsts too.

Ya, I'm interested in it because I've heard some crazy sick growls come out of it, such as the growl in scary monsters and nice sprites. Which is my favorite song evah.
