I saw LMMS and thought it looked cool with an intuitive user interface ao I thought I'd check it out, however, when I open it it doesn't load and it gives me a popup saying runtime error. I run a very good computer with an i7 6700 and 32 gigabytes of ram and it also has a 64x operating system. It would be cool if anyone could help me. Thanks

When you say 64x operating system, do you mean Windows OS?
If so, which Windows OS?

Sorry, I guess I was very vague. What I meant to say is that I'm running Windows 10 pro 64 bit.

Which version of LMMS did you download, the stable version 1.1.3 for Windows 64 ?

And what else does the runtime error message say (a screenshot would be good). Such messages usually provide at least some information to help diagnose the problem.

I downloaded the trial version of Bitwig but for some reason it does not contain portaudio-x64.dll. (BTW: I'm using the stable 64x version of Lmms)

Oh no.. why on earth..
Guess they have changed their pack, then :/ -unless you actually have yo install the free-trial in order for the dll to be unpacked..

Maby you could try our x32 and use that until 1.2 is released. 1.2 skips libportaudio, and that should be the end of this win10/runtime mess -i hope..

For some reason the 32x version does the same thing. I guess I'll just wait for the next version. Thank you for your help.

Have you tried the PR. You could help us a bit if you would, because i would like to know if a win10 user that has had this pesty problem, can use lmms PR

This link gave me the same result. if there's anything you recommend to change about my computer to help it work that would be much appreciated because if its a problem with my actual computer then I might be able to fix it.
