Lost files

I had files of 3 songs saved in my projects. After renaming them, I cannot find them. They show up under Recently Open Projects but not in the files (Open Projects).
I then checked in my LMMS files located in my user file. In projects file, all the songs show up....the good files show icon, Type: LMMS Project (compressed file)...and under properties/ attributes: A.
The 3 lost files have a paper icon, Type: File.....properties/ attributes: AC
If there is a way to recover them that would be awesome. Spent a good bit of time making them. In the future I will not rename a project and will make a wav. file or save it elsewhere to keep it!!

Actually- no they do not
The names is shown, but the logical link to the actual file is (ofcause) not there after you have manually renamed the files!
So you need to ignore the old names in the 'recently opend' and use:
Project| Open <browse to the folder where the renamed files are> |Open

The renamed files will now be loaded and they will show up in the 'recently-opend' window after you have saved once

I did that and neither the old file name or new name appears....but I typed the new file name below and got it that way, so all wasn't lost. Thanks anyway, it still helped steer me in the right direction!!!!!!
