After trying several things (and watching some properties) I came to the following insight:
I'd like to see especially in the Beat- and Bassline editor to see, that every given part (let's assume one Kick, Snare and HiHat) play it's loops independently from each other, that means:
If the Kick consists of 16 Steps, but the HiHat 32 Steps, that the Kick restarts a new loop as soon as the HiHat starts it's 17th Step. In the moment I either would have to hack in the Kick Pattern 2 times or my Kick would have to wait for the (32 Step-)HiHat 16 Steps in silence.
Assumption: If I already have a Kick every 1/4 Note, but want to add a Kick between 3/4 and 4/4 (that is at 7/8 or 14/16, that is Step 14 of 16), I had to change this as often in my pattern as the number of Kick Steps fit into the longest given Beat Pattern (what sometimes can be 64 Steps). But if now every track is looped independently (means it starts to loop at it's end independent of the other tracks), I change my 16 Steps Kick immediately in the desired way - that's it.
Because of the simple nature of this 'change' it even could be possible to create an option whether to choose the known loop behavior or this one.
Have a look into some videos made with, for example Ableton Live. You will see this very soon - as well as the simplicity in changing Items under Realtime conditions. A similar method could even be useful for the Song Editor, because some patterns are repeated similar (but by far less often).
BTW, I'm interested in the opinion of other users... but be fair and only criticize, if you are aware of what I really ask for and know if it could help or disturb your 'job' with LMMS. Consider, that an optional Loop Handling wouldn't change anything of the option isn't checked.
