Help with Set up of Audio Interface

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi there,
I have a PC and I am trying to set up LMMS to record basic things such as vocals, guitar and may add some drums at some stage.
I have a Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface and a Samson CO1 mic which connects to the interface. I can also connect my guitar at the same time.
I have downloaded Audacity and it is giving me the error message - "Error while opening sound device. Please check the recording device settings and the project sample rate."
I don't know which settings I should even be changing, and I'm feeling quite annoyed that this is not more simple! Seriously this is 2015 why does it have to be so cryptic!
I think I am using a unique combination of tools and I would like some advice on where I can get some clear help with this please?

Yes -that is a sound-device problem, if anything else than SDL has been chosen as sound device -Has it??.

If so what device did you choose?
It's worth trying the Audacity help forums since your problem is with that rather than LMMS. I think I recollect seeing some similar problems if you're on Win 10. Audacity can be quite fiddly to set up but at least it's free.
