MIDI file played slowly in the editor

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello everyone.

I'm a very new user of LMMS. I have a small projet : generating a music in reverse by using a MIDI file because the only current version I find on Youtube is just played backward.

This being said. I've imported a MIDI file after having created my project. Unfortunately, the track is plays too slowly in the editor, even after removing global automation. >Here< is a screenshot of my project. As you can see, the tempo/bpm stay the same.

Is it a problem coming from LMMS, or did I do something wrong?

so your problem..
even after removing global automation
That is weird 8( -But what global automation did you remove?
Did you right-click on the tempo-setting and removed that global?
And was it after you imported the midi-file?

Your image shows that the tempo-setting is 140 bpm. What do you want it to be? Are you attempting to change bpm inside the project, at a specific time? That is also possible, with automation.

Yes, it's exactly what I did. I noticed it didn't play the imported track at the original pace.

I have no idea, since I thought the bpm was automatically determined by the MIDI file. Actually, I'm just trying to make the track plays at the regular tempo you can hear here. I first thought changing the bpm could help me to play it in real time for at least listening to the file without doing anything to it.
If I get this right, the only other thing you should have done after remove global song automation, double click the bpm window, an type in the right bpm. (enter)

Or if you don't know the right bpm, you can just try 120 and see if that is too fast or too slow, and so on.
Or use this page to find the right bpm:

One other thing you might try is loading your midi file into something like Musescore or Anvil Studio to see if it plays correctly in there. If it does then exporting a new copy midi file might clean it up a bit. That's sometimes worked for me with midi files that LMMS has trouble playing initially.

If I knew which of the dozens of midi files on that page you linked to you were talking about I might try it for you.
