crashing on windows

First of all thanks to everyone who set this up and keeps it running, awesome job!!! and an awesome software..
Im using a windows 64 bit version and it crashed the first time last night, I just thought it might be a burp from being on all day and most of the night. But it happened again this morning, all I was doing was adding an fx to the channel. has anyone else had this problem? and what can I do?

What FX-insert? One from the factory-packs, or one from the internet?

Do you mean you simply just used the spindle to select a FX-channel??
If so, i properly need to see the project...
You are using the off. 1.1.3 -right?

an fx that came with LMMS I was just putting it in as a marker and yes I'm using 1.1.3 and thanks for the welcome... today I had it freeze on me twice and I had to restart, before I put LMMS on my laptop I set my laptop up for nothing but to run music software and thats all I use it for. Do you remember the name? We have one FX-effect, that actually is crash-prone

or at least put serious stress on the cpu.
I like and often use the Vintage-delay
Could you try an load that, and see if that also crashes your windows?

I don't remember which one, but now thats the least of my worries. I keep getting a LMMS is not responding, I have gone through my system to make sure its not my laptop and everything is good. I'm going through the old post now to see if this has happened before and what can be done.. one thing I do notice when it happens at the bottom of the window it duplicates any window bars that are setting there...

That sounds a bit like an issue I sometimes have on linux too, but its only with projects with certain vst in it.

Bottom left of the screen I see a few windows bar flicker, and then lmms totally freezes.

Some times it helps to not start that particular song fullscreen.

Hello, this software freezes terribly trying to import midi. I used to be able to use it. But now it doesn't work at all. I've tried to uninstall, and install the most recent stand version. It just freezes.

It can have trouble with some very large or non-standard format midi files but I've imported loads and loads of midis without any problems. What version of Windows ? What version of LMMS ? Can you give some examples of particular midi files that cause problems ?

Those 3 is very important, especially a link to the midifile that does not load!
If you have a hang at 66% loaded, i can tell you that exactly that problem is solved now, but the release is halted because of other critical bugs.

Dude, Wtf?? Just don't use broken vst!!!! or upgrade your PC or Mac!!!
