Hey! Nice work, even if I dont like high filter resonances, as you do - I really like your work, and how you developed your music, since the beginning of LSP-reset. I'm in no position to criticize your decision. My own experience with Reason 5 is, that it does not extend your music-making possibilities, it rather limits the understanding you get of virtual music studios to a certain level. Maybe you will get another opinion of it, after a few months. It's a personal thing, but when I found LMMS, my Reason-time was over instantly. So I wish you good luck and much inspiration. A friend of mine uses Ableton Live for his own tracks and remixes. He counts on it and as far as I can say - it is very professional, extendable and comfortable. Bad side: You'll have to pay around 300€, if you want a good synth and nice effects. Hm. I don't know if money is crucial to you, but did you hear of Qtractor before? It is still in Alpha phase, but due to jack, it has excellent routing abilities, it can sequence midi for jack clients like yoshimi (zynaddsubfx for jack) and LMMS (if run as a jack client) and standard audio files as well. There is even a possibility to run many VSTi-Plugins as jack clients, if you rely on them. You define as much channels and routing, you want and you have a huge palette of free effects and plugins, because it is compatible with VST, LADSPA, LV2, DSSI... Just in case you didn't know about it. You will make your way to an excellent musician, with any tool out there.
