Description:

It's not a serious bug so disregard.

How to replicate:

Open 3x Osc
In FX tab, open Calf Filter Envelope
++Do not play the song++
Click Sidechain, and lmms dies.

another combination:
Open the calf filter envelope plug in
=do not play the song yet.=
Click Sidechain button ON, it does not crash yet.
=play the song OR click the smol sound preview square button on the left side of VOL knob==
Crash occurs.

Windows 10 Home.
Intel Core i5

Audio settings:

SDL
HQ mode for output ON
Buffersize: 256 frames, latency 5.8 ms

Things to remediate issue:

The output gain should be turned up before turning on the sidechain FX.

Edit: also contains details with a bug unresolved for years (vynil)

@benbou92 oh, that should be the remediation... but turning up the sidechain without the output gain shouldn't crash the program. Posted by: shatterflame  on 2020-12-04 11:23:52
@benbou92 I turned the output knob up before hitting the sidechain button. And when I played the song, it still crashed. Posted by: shatterflame  on 2020-12-04 11:28:29
