I have made many variations of pianos that creating its tone is the easy part. The hard part is replicating the attack of the piano notes, because that noise is mechanical and doesn't really have the same frequency bands that the piano's tone has. I'd also have to replicate the sound of a piano key being let go, since you can hear a quiet, low frequency sound when someone lets go of a piano key. I kind of replicated that sound for the attack, but there's not a lot of detail in it, and getting it to sound the same is hard because I also don't really have a sample of this mechanical noise isolated from the piano's tone itself.
