Description:

Another project based on Polish folklore. Now the 2/4 Krakowiak in style of disco (disco polo).
I want that people have fun somewhere deep in Polish village. If you know how do it more disco/EDM (even old style) comment it.

can you come up with some youtube videos of 'disco polo' artists ? that way i can look into how to add this into your latest polo polish traditional dance project regarding producing into LMMS. Posted by: warrior13  on 2017-02-19 16:29:14
I do not think that disco polo is something special. They copy western music (with delay of some years) and adapt for home customers. Perhaps it is more melodic and sometimes own national themes are used. There are many haters of this music even in Poland. As I know every European country has this kind of music. I am not big fan of it but must confess that in special occasions after some drinks it can make fun. "Krakowiak" melody was already used several times. The latest is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR8YAK5YxU8 Another popular disco polo hits are (1992) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62Y_OArMGOk And the newer one with quite good mixing I think (2012) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvxG3zl_WhU But do not miss to see the original krakowiak (skip to minute 1:23) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeQ6jYzt6cM Posted by: rysiek  on 2017-02-19 16:58:24
one thing that goes with the more uncool considered types of electronic dance disco music is the use of drummachines and samples. for lmms users it means: get into the world of tr 909 tr 707 tr 808 and tb 303 and learn how they make up a dance sound. lmms has a large drum samples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcm55lU9knw this might be something the disco polo reminds me. this is a brasil artist. with the accordion. think this into polish lyrics and a somehow more eurodance approach and it can maybye appeal to the disco polo fans all over the world... \ Posted by: warrior13  on 2017-02-19 17:47:41
and this is something after a few drinks is more appreciated by the disco polo fans : see utube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1nYNkX3OYs .. with robo-disko-voice. i can imagine some discoclubbers even appreciate it after use of some more less legal substances ;-) but you did not hear that from me ';-) Posted by: warrior13  on 2017-02-19 17:52:48
Your version is quite skew. Your style is unmistakable. I have already heard it on soundcloud. I think the krakowiak is one of your best pieces. One need a very special mood for your music. The youtube link is very cool. I like such stuff. I think I need to dig deeper into earlier disco time especially italo disco. Posted by: rysiek  on 2017-02-19 19:02:21
