Name: Bit Invader Scherzo.mmpz Download
Description:

Project uses only bit invader instrument and some drum samples. It is not real chip tune but more some kind of retro electronic music.
There are simple melodies and classic sound effects (chorus, phaser, ...). Peak controller is used to control filter gate.

Comments:
This is one of your best projects! It sounds like if it was in some game! Great job.

Thank you. Indeed I like game music especially the older one. I have listened to podcast
https://player.fm/series/rhythm-and-pixels-video-game-music-podcast last time. I am too old for modern stuff :-(

What do you mean "modern stuff"?Posted by: Texxiliator on 2017-10-23 08:26:09
"modern stuff" It is not easy to describe but I mean something that you will hear on the radio today. To be honest 80% of current main stream successful productions are quite similar. One can easy get out if something was done in 80, 90, 2000 or 2010. People recognize some effect or sound as modern or old fashioned. The same as for clothes. I can not made something like I can hear on the radio. Often it is related to some special technique (plugin or software). 70% of songs in 1980 was made with DC7 yamaha FX synthesis.
I think that it is not easy to get "current" stand of the art song with lmms but there are some people that manage it anyway.
Probably the easiest way will be to get some DJ or EDM sound pack and use samples. I prefer to generate all from scratch.
Anyway my projects are mostly fun or experimental. Although I often try to copy something from 80 or 90.
