Comments:
Uhh... something is wrong with the file. The only thing that plays is a sine in the beginning, and that is it. Be sure to link your external samples. Posted by: JordanKyser  on 2017-12-02 01:42:00
Rex, you're the man! I'll be sure to do that next time. Thanks! Posted by: Fyrebreak  on 2017-12-04 03:59:07
I think you have to unlink the peak controller from the 'Affected' channel in the FX Mixer to hear the presets? If it doesn't work then get back here. As for the presets, erm, I have forgotten where I have downloaded them (I'm so sorry) and I could set up like a dropbox or smth to upload them, except probably not for privacy reasons (the voice recordings in there are awful lmao) For my next projects, instead I'm going to be using a pack of 1,300 decent-to-high quality drum samples that can be found here: https://beatproduction.net/dubstep-drum-kit/ I hope this helps Jordan! My ears got sick of it Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-04 12:05:15

Track very nice, but sound not very OK.. something need to improved Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-04 16:44:44
It worked! :D Also, it would be much appreciated if you go here: https://chipscompo.com/ It is a site where we make music under certain criteria. It could be a theme (CHIPS Compo), or objectives to follow (Salsa Compo or Day Compo), or even the newly story and art inspired music (a.k.a. SAIM). @gdd I think I know what you mean... the quality of the sound of the song is a bit disturbing indeed. (Are you talking about the high frequency of the song decreasing in quality?) It maybe because of me uploading the file onto Soundcloud as a WAV file instead of an MP3 and it screwed up the quality. Does it help if you download the WAV file from my Soundcloud page? Anywho, I'll get this problem fixed on my next release. Thanks gdd! P.S. If its something else do let me know lmao Posted by: Fyrebreak  on 2017-12-06 14:16:32
1:00 - 1:24 , 2:44 - 3:15 segments sounded ~OK.. Other parts => Too many noice and distortiions.. Perhaps choosing better instruments and adjusting levels will correct this. It is probably also some instruments to begin to fight each other Unfortunately, the project does not work with my LMMS/OS and I can not mention anything specific.. Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-07 14:53:28
@gdd Yeah... Hit the nail on the head, I agree. Also it's fine if your OS or LMMS isn't compatible, because I'm already hearing it on this side. This sucks :( It's very strange. I'm listening to the original file right now and none of this is happening. All the instruments are actually cooperating with one another (even the parts you labelled as '~OK' sounds fantastic) and the Soundcloud version is just... different >:( Fixing these distortions (also ow my ears lol) is one of my main focuses for my future releases. Thanks for pointing this out brother :) Posted by: Fyrebreak  on 2017-12-08 14:38:21
LMMS there is an unpleasant feature, when the levels are more or less stronger -> spoils / distorts the sound as described. It is better to do at lower levels ~5-6dB down and avoid red color. Notes instruments can be synchronized, but when the sound is inappropriate, harmful and ugly harmonics are produced. Of course, this can only be detected if the audio system / headphones is capable of reproducing the sound correctly to hear it. a complicated matter is this ..🙂 "My ears got sick of it" is joke/figuratively speaking.. Best regards. Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-08 15:23:08
What I'm talking about is something else: THD -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_harmonic_distortion Here you can learn about the different types of distortion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distortion In most cases, problems are caused by excessive levels, which I also mentioned to you -> Clipping: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipping_(audio) I also heard your WAV export... Generally speaking, follow some basic rules and ""put less salt on the food"" 🙂 Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-09 11:28:26
"SoundCloud has a 192 kbps MP3 encoder" –> YES, This is sucks :( Posted by: gdd71  on 2017-12-09 11:37:52
Thanks so mucho gdd... I'm researching more about the distortions and am improving my mixes for more songs to come. (Ah, clipping... me old enemy) I also just got a pair of studio headphones RIGHT after I released the EP (which was a pity) so trust me when I say the balance (mm... salt) will be improved as well ;) ...and also I'll be meanwhile trying my a** off to work around SoundCloud's stupid MP3 encoder >:( Thanks a lot mate!
