Right on, I like your style. For a first timer I think you are way ahead of the curve.
First, I think you've got a good ear. The project is musically strong. You have a theme and stick to it. Part of any success with any DAW or whatever is finding/creating and adjusting instruments to sound good together. I think you are already nailing that. Practice is the only way to get better though, so get right back in there as soon as you are feeling inspired again.
Second, the song is too loud overall. Toward the end there isn't any part of the song that isn't clipping. It's weird, because the problem isn't too bad at the beginning. I sense that you were trying to build up the sections volume-wise as they went. That's a good thing and builds a directional sense in music, but try and keep your eye on your overall output.
Looking forward to hearing more from you!Posted by: Vav on 2019-11-06 14:50:00
It is nice too know that I am "way ahead of the curve", as that inspires me to try harder. I'll definitely make more mistakes and more screw ups like as you said, loudness and clipping of the song. I sorta do need to pay attention to the visualizer, that is my bad on my part.
I'll definitely practice harder, and take any criticism I receive. I know i'm not going to become a pro overnight. I'll make more in the future as even if I don't "get gud", it is quite fun.Posted by: FeelTheEpic on 2019-11-06 15:36:20
