Preamble: This tutorial is focused on making proper shuffle/swing beats in LMMS, not a criticism of anyone's work.

I haven't come across too many producers here using Shuffle / Swing and it's generally not that intuitive in LMMS. Also damn near every Midi you come across generally avoids swing all together or does it incorrectly.

I wanted to demonstrate the techniques I have come across over the years on 4/4 house beats. Beat starts out without shuffle and then shifts and adds more complexities. A general rule is traditional house has swing (tribal especially) while trance generally doesn't (at least for the music I listen to).

There's also a few examples of ways to sidechain at the end. Yeah this isn't a good song either, just a demo of techniques.
