Thank you very much Ruly_cz! The theme itself was created mainly because you and the Ektod proved that LMMS can look great. Some idea what can be improved? Posted by: TheQuazet on 2021-03-04 11:49:18
Nice theme, i like the small touches of red here and there and everywhere. Wow awesome splash and cute knobs! As i appreciate a lot constructive criticism, i'll give some for you. 1. This is a very small one... I noticed red is almost always placed at the start of something (mixer's arrows, drag track in song edit, pressed piano roll keys, drop down menu's start line), and the loop enable-disable seems a bit weird to me as its placed in the middle of two green buttons. 2. Piano related color (piano roll and song editor). As there is already a green color in the theme, it may not be good to add another green color that is not too different, i have thought of 3 possible ways to handle this: a) change the piano related color to the common green b) change the piano related color to another color, i'd suggest the orange you've used in fader_leds.png c) leave it like it is because YOLO Posted by: Ektod on 2021-03-04 18:12:27
I love your @Ektod criticism - it is spot on and on point everywhere. The theme will be developed, new icons will be created and I am going to play with the background colors - especially PianoRoll and AutomationEditor to give it a slightly more FL Studio feeling - but not too much - I want it to still have its own character. Additionally, I will slightly shrink the pads in BBeditor and place them higher to make them appear more centered. The rest are small fixes and trifles in graphics programs. 1. You're right - it looks a little out of place, but I wanted to tie it visually to the loop strip. I still do not know which solution is better; D And I do not want to make a green belt because there is too much of it for me and green is taking over. I wanted to balance it with red. 2. I came to the same conclusion after the current version was released: D All the more I have to keep the balance in red - a problem to be solved for the next version Posted by: TheQuazet on 2021-03-04 20:23:19
