I've manage to use both versions in parallel, 1.2.2 is installed as stable version by default from Ubuntu repository, version 1.3.0 runs from terminal as AppImage. I noticed some differences in GUI, I personally like both versions. The only thing that annoys me in 1.3.0 Alpha version is that I cannot group the channels like in 1.2.2 by dragging up and down, so if I add a new track, it stays at the bottom and there is no way to move it up where I wish to be.
