Description:

A short piano loop using Sample text's Fourier Piano instrument. I think the instrument is sounding good - the first one anyone has created in LMMS that sounds good at different octaves (I know with the piano patches I created, I had to be creative as to which octaves I was playing the chords / notes within).

I created this with Alpha - I should have probably created this with the last stable version, but it's done now.

Comments:
Yeah playing a real melody with it does a better job demonstrating how it really sounds than just comparing it to the real piano one note at a time. The synth diverges in how close it sounds to the real one particularly when you play notes that are lower pitch than A4, because A4 was the note that I used for the FFT. The most important thing missing from the synth right now is the hammer, which I explained how I plan to record it in my demo project. Posted by: sampletext  on 2026-01-23 16:01:16
