The series of triads I used actually sounded very similar to HMC - 187 (if not in the same key), which was created in the same city I am in. This was a good accident, as I was able to reuse the chords in a cover project of 187 where I worked out the bassline.

I changed the rhythm of the chords a bit to try and not make them too similar, as I liked the bassline I had created here. I still can't stop hearing it in this (even though it is a completely different style of music and BPM), so either the chord rhythm is still similar or I am imagining it.
