Description:

Thought it would be good to showcase some musical styles other than dance music, so I cranked out a little R&B/jazz fusion/hip hop tune for variety's sake. It's not real long, just a groovy loop that I did in a night. I use an Axiom 25 for most of my input, which really allows for stuff I wouldn't be able to click in effectively.

For those that care the chords are (I think):

Cm9
Abmaj7/F
Gm7
F#maj7

At least I'm pretty sure those are correct. Could be wrong.

Anyway please rate/comment the usual. Most of all just give it a download and a listen! Hope you enjoy!

Oh wooooww, really good! Especially the chord F#maj7 following Gm7 sounds cool. I wonder how the melody would sound with a bit of pitch wheel magic. More of this, please! This music makes me happy. :D btw: you just made me buy a MIDI-keyboard. Posted by: alf42red  on 2010-12-09 12:37:23
Thanks! MIDI keyboards make it sooo much easier. Definitely worth my money. Yeah I tried doing little grace notes with the note lock set on 1/64th but it's just not the same. I can't figure out how to connect my pitch wheel or any of my knobs, so if you find out how let me know! Posted by: Zakarra  on 2010-12-09 14:33:56
An alternative to the pitch wheel is to turn on the slide of the bass synth. In Zasfx it would be the portamento knob, which can also be used with automation. Unfortunately this solution is not as precise as the pitch wheel. I'll let you know if I find out how it works with the MIDI keyboard as soon as it's delivered. Well the transport don't really work how there suppose to, but just right click on any button that is programmable and select connect to controller and just turn a knob or something. And make sure it's on auto detect mode. Posted by: Z0und  on 2010-12-10 00:42:20

Faboulous, refreshing tune. I'm totally happy, that many talented artists started to publish their works after the reset of LSP as yet. Maybe I should pull out my Axiom-61 from under my bed in the christmas holidays again :-) Posted by: tommy  on 2010-12-14 18:06:02
