----------------------------------------------------

I feel pity to myself that I cannot compose electronic (except chiptune). So here, a (kinda relaxing) and melodic music I made while there was an endless rain in my country. >>If there are something not good about the project, constructive criticisms are welcome.<<

Please no hate... I'm self-taught in using LMMS and in making music.

This is originally a second movement of my piano composition I made in LMMS when I was 14 years old but I feel the structure looks separated from the whole song so I isolated it.

Wow! That's a nice track! I love your use of the mallets plugin. Posted by: Etorna_Z  on 2016-10-04 21:15:03
I have analyzed it a little. I noticed that the chord progression do not match the melody or all instruments. The first place is bar 15. The chimes is playing c# (small means minor) but the sine synth is A (major). Try to hear only the sine synth and chimes together. Anyway the sine synth has better progression because it uses E7 (D,E,G#,H) (you could add the H to another instrument) For arrangement it helps to make chord progression plan. In your case it could be A,A,A,D+E7,A or later A,A,A,D+E7,c# The small movements in arpeggios are good but they should match the planned chords. Typical for A ist A,D,E7 (I,II,IV) The classic pop A,c#,D,E7 (try also h) As next you could add the bass line (counter-melody). Classical trick. If melody is moving up the counter-melody is moving down. Walking Bass. Try to compose dialog of them. Just playing main note from chord works but could be boring. The music is quite repetitive. You could introduce the instruments slower. Or remove same parts later. Do not duplicate melody (octave) at the beginning but safe it for high point. Use block chords at high point. If you play piano try to record real playing. You will see how the dynamic changes. Posted by: rysiek  on 2016-10-07 08:33:59
I noticed that I mess something. Of course the chord progression for A is A, f#, D, E7 I need to see piano keyboard and play it to be sure. And A,D,E7 is I, IV, V Posted by: rysiek  on 2016-10-08 22:11:05
