Hi Rob, welcome to the club of remake producers! This is a nice debut! I have noticed the following things:
- Turn down the volume of all instruments to 30% of the current level. Otherwise the sound volume is always in the red.
- You use exclusively samples, no synth sounds. Samples have often the tendency to cause heavy clicking noise. For example from measure 25 to 29 piano01 and piano02 create clipping noise like hell! By playing around with the length of the notes you can minimize this effect. But why don't you use ZynAddSubFX brass sounds to make it sound like the original?
- The setting of the note of all your samples is A4. But not all samples are recorded in A4! For example the piano samples are C3. If the setting of the note of the samples is correct it will be much easier to write down the melodies in the piano roll as in this case LMMS will play an A4 when you enter an A4 and not something else.
Keep up the good work!Posted by: Peter F on 2016-12-07 14:35:05
