Description:

Hello, musicians.
I'm trying to make a house. Since eternity (maybe) I had a dream to compose my own music.
I am working on this tune, I need feedback.
No rude comments please :( I'm already insulted by two scumbags here https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=9847
Are there nice people around??
And feedback is appreciated by the way, thanks :)

Interesting first project! Here's some helpful criticism. The bell is too loud. You'll need to turn down its volume. The bass is too bubbly and phaser-like. I would totally get rid of the bubble-phase sound. You can do that by going into the ENV/LFO section of the TripleOSC and turning off the filter underneath the volume settings. After that, you can turn the amount (AMT) up all the way to 1. Then turn down the release (REL) to 2. You'll get a saw bass! The kick would go great with some added percussion, such as a snare, some hihats. Stuff like that :) I would say add more to the lead notes. Variety to the lead almost always makes a track sound better. Don't feel like crap for all the negatives!! It'll just help you out and make your piece even better! My first piece was literally two invaders_must_die BitInvader presets, one smooth one not, repeating the same note. It's rather embarrassing.. That was a year ago. Look at my projects now! They don't sound like the most awesome thing in the world, but they are decent! So give it some time, keep working with LMMS, and you'll end up making great music! I do agree a little with gdd about TripleOSCs, although not to such an extent. Use them if you can make them amazing (Skiessi's piece RPN14253 is a great example) but otherwise learn ZynAddSubFX as soon as possible. It's so worth it. And yes, get LMMS 1.1.3. Another tip, once you get your pieces so that they sound good enough to receive attention, I suggest that you stop putting them up on the LMMS site. People like to steal stuff. I'm honestly thinking about taking down all my pieces because someone took my Son of Flynn piece for themselves. Happy LMMSing! :D Etorna_Z Posted by: Etorna_Z  on 2016-12-15 20:01:02
